HEY MY NAME IS JOHN IM NOT SURE IF THIS IS WHERE TO POST THIS AT BUT IMMA GIVE IT A SHOT.
I'VE BEEN IN A WHEELCHAIR FOR FIVE YEARS NOW AND NOW I WOULD LIKE TO GET INTO THE WORKFIELD ALTHOUGH I FEEL I AM EXPERIENCING DISCRIMINATION. I HAVE A HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA AND MY DEGREE BUT I HAVE NEVER WORKED ANYWHERE BECAUSE I WAS INJURED BEFORE I WAS OF AGE TO WORK. WHAT I WANNA KNOW IS HAS ANYONE DELBT WITH THIS PROBLEM AND IF ANYONE HAS ANY TIPS FOR ME?

If you're in the US, then you'll need to contact your state's Vocational Rehabilitation Office. They can help you get back into the workforce and also provide you with the tools/equipment you'll need to do so. I don't know what I would've done without them...they are very helpful.
If you'd like to continue your education and develop more marketable skills, they'll help you with that too.
Other than that...I'd suggest thinking about what kinds of specific modifications you might need in various work situations. An employer will be more likely to consider hiring someone with a disability if they're clear on what might be needed...and would probably appreciate your input.
But seeing a VR representative would be the best first step you could make, IMO. The best to you in your efforts. Let us know how it goes.
