My wife has recently recieved a neck injury and has been asked to choose which hospital to go to for consultation and help. Which is the best london hospital for neck injuries - specifically a broken neck vertebra?

Thanks in advance,
Maddy. :dunno:

My son broke his neck and was in Stanmore and we have no complaints it was a very good hospital with very friendly caring staff who we think new what they were doing, that is our opinion.

Forgive me for being rude but are you from the UK? I have NEVER heard of ANYONE being given a choice of which spinal unit to go to. Broken necks or backs are decided by the hospital - you are taken to the nearest spinal unit. In Scotland, you are taken to the National Spinal INjury Unit at Southern General, Glasgow; in England, depending on where you stay, you have various choices.

I presume that if your wife has BROKEN her neck then she must be hospitalised. If so, why are they not arranging this.

Have to say, its a frustrating part of the forum - locations. It would be REALLY helpful if everyone could say at least which continent their on! Often lingo gives it away but that post doesn't. Simon has created a great forum with the ability to fill in out locations in the profile, please everyone do it, if nothing else. :D
