i have a c-5 incomplete quadraplegia from a car accident in 2004.i have been on baclofen and flexorel for my spasms i my arms that occur at night until morning. neither one of these medications helped any that i could tell. i would have these "fits" 1 to 2 hours at a time off and on through the night.15 mg methadone a day stopped my spasms 100%.i dont know if your doc would write them for you because they are so strong .but i know it worked for me .good luck

Hello, I have a C5 SCI Incomplete from a car wreck in 2002. I have also tried baclofen and many others, but none of the work. At night I am constantly awaken by my leg spasms which seem to never stop no matter how I sit, lay or even have them rubbed. They are so bad now that even if someone accidently touches my legs they go crazy. So, my question is what are the risks of taking methadone and does it stop the spasms in a few days or weeks?
