Im really suffering with spasms in my left leg at the moment, and Im not really able to take any meds becasue of the pregnancy. I dont know if anyone else has experienced this, but I only really get it when I lie down at night in bed t sleep. My leg seems to have a life of its own, its also extremely unconfortable. Its as if someone has applied an electric shock to the sole of my foot, runs up through my knee and into my groin area. OUCH! It also means that Im getting very little sleep and being slightly crazy as a result!!!

If anyone has any practical ideas Id be grateful as Ive never had it to this extent before.
Thanks
L

Are you sleeping on your back? I guess you would have already tried elevating your leg.. let me think...?!?!

I do tend to sleep on my back, and I also raise my legs, but it takes about 32 hours before I can find a position that doesnt mean Im' rolling round the bed'.

Personally, at this time, I feel like a beached whale!! I am 32 weeks pregnant. I can't seem to get comfortable in any position!! If I lay on my back for more than about 10 minutes, I start blacking out so I don't do that. Laying on my right side with my left leg propped up on a body pillow seems to be the most comfortable. It is already hard enough to turn over in bed, but now it is extremely hard and very painful for me in my back and pelvic bones. I think the farther you get along, your joints loosen up and with AB pregnancies (I know, I've had 5) can feel the discomfort more and readjust. With SCI pregnancies (this is my first SCI pregnancy), you don't feel the discomfort normally and your body responds differently - feeling pain in my back and pelvic bones only instead of the normal joint locations, or spasms which can happen in response to pain somewhere else. Hang in there - it can't last more than 9 months!! I am seeing the light at the end of my tunnel!!B)
