  • Spinal Injury Level / Relationship:cerebral palsy

Hi,

I'm 14 years old and have cerebral palsy. I am meant to be going for a baclofen pump test next month but I don't know much about the proceedure or whether the pump is for me. I've been having baclofen since I was 9. My doctor has been altering my dosage frequently but it has had little effect. He thinks the pump may work but he's not given me much information if someone could answer some of my queries I'd be very grateful.

How much scarring is there? This is a great worry for me because of the pressure of being a teenage girl.

How long is it normally till you are back being your normal self? This is another main issue because I am currently taking my gcse's.

What are the most common side effects?

many thanks Sheena xxx :help:
