Hi. Let me start by saying I'm a T4 para as of august, 2007 and I'm ready to get back on the racetrack. I raced before my SCI and really want to get back to it. We (My dad, bro, and myself) have found a car and already figured out how to make it so I can drive it competitivly. Firstly, the seat will slide across to the pasanger side on rails so I can transfer in from that side. We'll also build a kind of tray for my feet to sit in attached to the seat and seatbelt my legs in place. The seat will lock in place. As for the throttle/break, we've come up with a system that works the throatle simaler to that of a motercycle, and push down on it for brake. That way it's still possible to work both the break and throattle at once (which is esscentle to race). Also, of course, a spinner on the stearing wheel. We also want to put in an on-board fire extinquisher system where you pull a pin, push the button, and it activates, because in the unlikely event that it ever does light up, i'm not exactly gunna be able to scamper out of there. Also my brother is old enough to race this year, so we got to get a care ready for him too. Looking forward to it! :thread jacked:

We had a local that did the same as you but the track still would not let him race because of their insurance. the reasoning was IF the car cought fire he would not be able to get out fast enough. Just saying you better check with the track(s) and get an attorney to sue if they dont let you run.

What kind of racing? I have been Dragracing as a t7 para since 1991 with no problems.
