Hi guys!

Every time I drink water I usually piss myself. I'm currently taking oxybutynin and it works great, except when I drink water! It doesn't matter if I only have one glass! It's like it goes directly through me and I'm getting frustrated because I drink alot of sodas (which is bad). So, I was wondering if anyone else has/had this problem or has ANY advice on maybe why it does that and/or what to do about it!

Hey Kodie,
You're dealing with a tuffy here. There are to many variables to be certain about what's causing your problem. Besides the actual fact that we all deal with these problems. No drug is 100% fullproof, so you could chalk your problem up to "comes with the territory."

Try upping your Oxybutynin dose first. Also go see your Urologist & make sure you don't have any stones . . . . they tend to cause accidents. Lastly, just be aware of when you fin fluids to maybe try cathing a bit sooner.

On a side note, when I drink anything with caffeine or alchohol it tends to run through my system more quickly. So I cath maybe an hour or two sooner than normal after drinking an Ice Tea or a Beer.

Just a guess but i would say all that soda is your prob. I switched to non carbonated and have found much better stability/predictability.

Hi guys! Thanks for the advice!

@Mr. Bounce - I'm gonna give "upping" my oxybutynin a shot (which will prolly do the trick). I already do the cathing early for when I have a cold beer (usually after 2 or 3 beverages) but it seems like water goes through me quicker than alcohol! Idk, maybe I'm just weird like that..

@Mr./Mrs.? LuckyinKentucky - By "non-carbonated" waddaya mean? Like orange, grape juice etc.?

It's mr..... your situation does seem different because usually it is the caffinated/ carbonated beverages that go through most people faster. Upping your oxy should help it regardless, but if you drink a ton of cola's than your physiology may be used to the acid, caffeine and carbonated water they contain.

Juices were pretty much what i was referring to like lemonade, grape juice, not so much tea since it's just as caffeinated.

Regardless of what it is like bounce said just pay attention to how much you drink especially if it's something thast you know will run right through.
