Just for your information..... (sorry for poor post layout but it is just a C&P from work email!)

The Medicines and Health Products Regulatory Authority (MHRA) has initiated a class one drug recall on the following product:

Drug

OXYBUTYNIN

Strength

5mg

Form

TABLETS

Pack size

84 AND 56

Manufacturer

Niche Generics Ltd and Actavis UK Ltd

Batch

Niche – 09D02 (EXP 12/2011)

Niche – 09D04 (EXP 12/2011)

Actavis – 146401 (EXP 12/2011)

Actavis – 146402 (EXP 12/2011)

Reason for recall:

Niche Generics Ltd, the product marketing authorisation holder are recalling all remaining stock of the above batches due to the possible inclusion of undispersed active ingredient which has the potential to result in patient overdose.

Both companies have requested that the patients should be contacted and supplied with replacement stock from unaffected batches.
