Dont rightly know the answer to this one but i do have two friends diagnosed with bladder cancer and neither of them are SCI and have never used catheters.
How would you go about proving it surely if the materials used are carcergenic they wouldnt be available.

There was a study which indicated a slight increase in the probability of acquiring bladder cancer from long term indwelling and supra pubic catheters, but it was a very small increase.

As far as I'm aware, intermittent catheterisation doesn't carry any significant increase in risk.
