I went through a long period of urinary tract infections, bladder infections if you want to call them that. My symptoms were blood in my urine, severe cramps, headaches, fever, and cloudy/junky urine. After a urine culture, a course of appropriate antibiotics usually cleared it up in a few days. Symptoms will vary with individuals.

The first time I had blood in my urine, it scared the crap out of me. My urologist told me it's no big deal unless your kidneys are hemorrhaging. Then it is serious.
