I have tried to attach a photo to show what I am writing about.
I am trying to find where I can buy some brackets similar to the one I have photographed which allow a pushrim with rivnut fastenings to be connected to wheelchair wheels designed for tab-mount pushrims. As you can see the bracket has broken - it is made of plastic.
I have some 24" spox wheels that at present have "two grip" pushrims with tab fixings, but I don't get on with these - (they are metal with a flatened outer section for your thumbs, along which is a flat rubber insert).
I have some slightly worn, but comfy coated pushrims that I want to fit to the wheels, but these are without tabs, they just have rivnuts set into the sides. What I need to find a supply of, are brackets like the broken one I photographed that will allow me to join these pushrims to my spox wheels.
I have tried many suppliers without success. The bracket in the photo came with some wheels that I bought from Germany via ebay, but their english is poor, my german is worse, and I can't get a reply to my emails.
Can anyone point me in the right direction? I had thought of trying to make some, but I need at least a dozen.
I'll be interested to see if my first attempt to attach a photo works !
