Sorry that a response didn't come sooner. :muahaha: But in answer to your question......I have not found anything all that terrific & I have the same problem you do. :drooldrip:

Hey Dom, i just ran across this old post of yours and wondering if you ever found a solution to your weight loss. I am in the same boat, again, as you. I have always been tall and lean and very active. But for the past 14 years, i haven't been able to get over 165lbs and i'm 6'2". I just want those 25lbs back! I have tried protien shakes and i eat a lot but it all seems to go strait through me. The protien shakes are the worst!

By the way, i'm near San Diego and Orange County.

Check with your doctors just in case there is some food allergy interfering with your absorption. My brother-in-law, at 2 meters, got terribly lean until they found he had developed an allergy to gluten. It took about 2 years of careful attention to diet (gluten is hidden in so many things) before he had put a respectable half inch of fat back on that long torso.

Otherwise, yes, exercise in whatever way you can, as often as you can. It will improve your health and happiness.

I tried to talk to my doctor about my weight, because I'm now at least 16 kg (35 lbs) underweight, and I've never been able to keep weight on. With winter coming in, it's a concern.

He said "you should eat more."

Yeah.

I've tried protein shakes, I've tried high carb diets, high protein diets. I've tried little-and-often and five solid meals.

I think it's the meds, and the injury-associated systemic imbalances, and possibly some food intolerance. I'm still investigating it, and I'd advise you to do the same: study what you're eating, but also get some tests done to see if there's something you're not digesting, or something that's interfering.

I have the same problem as well (down 40).

I just recently went back on Oxandrolone, a mild anabolic steroid and have been putting on a pound each week of muscle.

You can only do a 12 week cycle at a time, but it's a jump start.
Adversity doesn't build character.....it reveals it.

That's true: I always put on some weight when I'm on steroids, but as you say, you can't stay on steroids. I wish it had worked as a jump start!
