Has anybody seen this new personal emergency response system? It's sorta like one of those systems that you wear a pendant around your neck a push the button when you fall and it calls 911 for you. Only this one lets you call other numbers that you can program into it and you can talk from the pendant. So if you fall or something outside you can talk to help directly from the pendant?

here's the website

My personal view on these is that a pay-as-you-go mobile phone could do the same job, is only a fraction bigger, and is a lot cheaper!

I never like the way these products are marketed on fear.

At least with a phone you could also use it to text, listen to music and take a few pictures whilst you're laying in a heap on the floor!
