Unfortunately, we missed the first episode b/c we were up at the Grand Canyon cooling off and forgot it was going to be on TV that night. Got some great pics of Flagstaff, the Meteor Crater and the Grand Canyon though.
I can't stand Jessie!!! Does anyone else notice he looks like he's done some steroids since last season? It could be natural, but . . .
I wish they would've brought back Evil Dick. I loved him!! Ronnie is an absolute DORK! I don't think he's as intelligent as he thinks he is.
I really don't get all the people throughout the seasons who bitch about having to do something they don't want to do. Well, I guess I do get it. It's greed! They see a chance to get some cash and maybe become famous, but forget they have to play by the rules. Remember the ex-Penthouse model from last year who kept bitching about being paired with and having to sleep in the same bed with the big tall guy. (Sorry, bad with names) These people have to know they're going to go through tasks that aren't going to be pleasant. It's all part of the game.
Can't wait to see what happens tonight!

I LALALALOVE Evel Dick! Daniele was one of my all time favs too.
Are you sure you're not thinking of season 9, Hapa? Cause season 10 didn't have pairs, season 9 did, and the ex-penthouse model was Sheila, but she was 46, and she was teamed up with Adam, who was kind of big. Does that ring a bell? I can't think of any other ex-penthouse models from season 10 at all.

Yeah, Yeah, you're right Sheila and Adam. I felt really sorry for Adam who was a little dorky, but he wasn't a creap. I just couldn't stand Sheila being repulsed about having to sleep with Adam.
Sorry, as each BB goes by, I get mixed up on "Da Playas!" Thanks Beautiful!

Ok, so now that Casey is nominated, I think it's pretty much a given that he will go home. I'm really hoping that someone not in Jessie's alliance gets HoH and nominates him. Ronnie is a total idiot doormat. Drives me nuts. I'd like to see him or Jessie go next. Either one is fine with me. I'm not a fan of RATalie either. Or Lydia. Actually, there still isn't anyone I'm rooting for in the house. And is it just me or does there seem to be no chemistry between the houseguests this year? There just doesn't seem to be anything interesting happening between any of them.
Was anyone else shocked by how much younger Casey looked after he shaved off his beard? Seriously, he looked a decade younger! I was shocked!
And Texaswheelz, I think Van may have some anger management issues (on Hell's Kitchen, anyway!). Yikes! And that Marine guy? Whoa, PSYCHO! I wonder what happens next week, when all the firetrucks, etc., are called.

Jordan and Jeff are so fun to watch. They're both hilarious. Jordan is a little ditzy, but I think some of it is an act. Jeff is cute, and he really cares for Jordan. I know they're just friends, but they're cute together. Haha.

But you're right with shows like The Bachelor/ette & Rock of Love, etc. They give them things to say, and a lot of it is scripted, like some fights and stuff. Thats why I don't watch those shows

If they both manage to not get voted out anytime soon, I bet it will evolve into a show-mance!

Yeah, the live feeds definitely aren't scripted. The TV broadcast can be edited to make a certain person look like a villain, or a certain person come across as someone America wants to root for, depending on what the producers want but the stuff on the live feeds is genuine interactions with a group of people stuck in a house that is completely cut off from the outside world. So, yeah, while it's not "reality", it still sort of is "reality". And quite frankly, sometimes a little mindless entertainment is just what I need to unwind after a long stressful day.
Speaking of the Bachelorette, I caught some of the finale last night. Interesting that she chose Ed. And I felt HORRIBLE for Reid, coming back like that and begging her. I liked Kipton better than Ed. Oh well. As for Rock of Love? Any VH1 show like that is ALWAYS a train wreck.

Yes, because the news doesn't show you what they want you to see as news, it's real, hard core unedited and honest.... Sorry i do not watch news on TV at all, they only show negative news 90% of the time, they show news that relates to their opinions and beliefs. I check various website for my news and even then I still get just want that site is reporting.
Either way, i watch "reality shows" for entertainment, not to believe that this is how people really are. Of course it isn't real to dump 15 people in the Amazon and have them compete for money, of course it isn't real to put 15 people in a house and have them compete for money, of course it isn't real to have teams race around the globe for money. But in my opinion it is entertainment so I choose to watch them. Why people continue to come to a thread that they do not want to participate in, it would be like me watching Fox News all day and then bitching about not liking any of it. No, instead I choose to not watch it, the same as people can choose not to watch these shows and there for I see no reason why you should come into the thread to comment on it. I don't go in everything that I don't have anything constructive to say and give my unneeded opinion.
Sorry for the rant, but shit if you won't watch em and don't like em, who cares, this is a thread for those that do. This is in response to everyone who feels the need to let us know it's not real and they don't watch them, I just have quoted the latest reply.

Depends on what you term as "news". Fox isn't a news show, in my opinion it is a republican supporters television magazine which amounts to nothing more than tabloid gossip mag trash. I challenge you to find anyone outside the US who doesn't find it one of the most annoying TV programs Try news programs like Aljazeera or BBC world service. I have an unwritten rule that I watch the news until the first adverts. If it isn't more important than ads, it isn't worth watching. What I gave is my opinion, as entitled to do it as you are. I didn't mention the Amazing Race because that is a show I do like. I just can't see the attraction of the others which all seem to follow the same formula and was trying to point out the fact they are far from reality which is a point of view you seem to share.

I don't regularly watch the news. I mostly just watch the news for the weather report and will have it on briefly to see if anything major is happening in the city. Lately, I've been watching the first 10 minutes of it or so because we're having a garbage strike in the city and I'm wanting to know more info about when the mess will end! Other than that, I don't feel the need to fill my head with violent images and opinions that just end up pissing me off. What IS real about many reality shows (not at) but with shows like BB, you get to watch human nature. You get to see people's true sides as they get more and more bored because they have no stimulus other than EACH OTHER to keep their minds occupied. By the end of the season of BB, the last 4 or 5 people have practically lost their minds
As for Van, he was better in last night's episode! At least he stopped telling people to "suck his di*k". I love loud and laughing people but angry people who try to kill you like that one guy (Joseph?)? YIKES!!!! It was so over the top though that I honestly wonder if he was a hired actor and not a real contestant on the show. OR, my alternate theory for that kind of blowup, that he's on drugs. I've seen people with bad drug habits react illogically and with extraordinary anger to something seemingly minor. Gordon Ramsay did seem genuinely pissed off though so maybe it wasn't scripted. Gordon is like the epitome of an alpha male. I couldn't help but laugh when his eyes narrowed, his chest puffed out, and his voice dropped down in pitch a bit when that guy got up in his face, and had they actually fought? That Joseph dude would have had his ass kicked. Gordon looks like he's been in some mean fights!

Haha, awesome. You know, I may be alone in this, but I am liking Russell more and more. I dunno. I think under his idiot exterior, he's actually kind of a nice guy (minus that totally ridiculous blowup he had in the beginning). Either way, Ronnie NEEDS TO GO. Jessie's veto speech during last night's broadcast annoyed me. How HE has the power to nominate because HE WON HoH, blah blah blah. It was such a powertrip and it's just obvious that under all his bullshit, he's so insecure and a total wuss. Can't stand him. Maybe he should take less steroids. He is starting to resemble a gorilla.

Oh gross, that just annoys me about CBS making Jessie the good guy again this year. They did it last time he was on the show and it was SO obvious they were trying to get people to like him, to keep him in the house, America to vote him in, whatever, I don't remember now. And then they brought him back in that gorilla suit, remember? And now this year they bring him back AGAIN?! I don't get it. I don't see the Jessie appeal and clearly neither do most people since everyone seems to think he is a total douche.
Beautiful, on Jul 30 2009, 02:45 AM, said:
I think I'm gonna root for Russell. Mostly because he is the only one that I remotely like--and even though, at first, I thought he was an idiot. I don't like any of the girls, except for maybe Michele because she seems to be one of the few people in the house with a working brain. I have a slight soft spot for Russell after reading his bio on the CBS website, that he had an accident (motorcycle I think) and was paralyzed for a while, had to have surgeries/rehab to walk again. So he's kind of like one of us
Edited because I forgot to post about Van: Yeah, I think being in a kitchen, competing with people, Gordon Ramsay screaming obscenities at you, can bring out the worst in you. Some of us would probably snap like that too! Though I think very few of us would snap like that Joseph guy did....

Russel won HOH this week, and he swore he wouldn't nominate Jeff OR Jordan (yay!). Russel did vote to vote out Jordan this week, but that was because he promised Casey his vote. He told Jeff this when they were hanging during HOH comp. The others think Ronnie voted out Jordan, which is good for Russel, because people will start blaming Ronnie because he has messed up votes before. I kind of don't trust Russel in keeping his word, but I kind of do. But I am not too worried about it, because it looks like Jeff will win the coup d'etat**.
Cliques are over.
**America votes for who they want to win the coup d'etat. That power gives you the ability to override HOH's decisions. So lets say Russel DOES nominate Jeff and Jordan. If Jeff won the coup d'etat (and it looks like he will, i've been to all the voting sites, and Jeff has like 85% of the votes), right before live eviction, Jeff can say "screw this decision, I want to nominate Ronnie and Jessie", and those two would HAVE to be put up. I think the only exception is if you win veto you can't be put up by the coup d'etat. Also, you only have two weeks to use it.
I've been voting for Jeff, and when I went to Jokers, he had like 600 votes, and Jordan was in second place with like, 30 votes. America LOVES Jeff

So Casey went bye bye. No big surprise there. I would rather have seen others go than him though. I missed the first half of the broadcast because i was making a late dinner so I'm still rather out of the loop. Ronnie... is... a TOTAL AS*HOLE!!! Jeez. That guy drives me nuts, as much as someone on some reality tv show can drive me nuts
Edited to add that I'm glad the cliques are over. I thought the concept was kind of ridiculous anyway and I think it hurt the chemisty of the house. I still feel like no one has really gotten to know each other and start really truly interacting the way they have at this point in past seasons. I'm finding this year's cast to be sorta lacklustre.
Edited AGAIN cuz i just read your post, Beau--you and I were posting at the same time I think--and I REALLY REALLY REALLY hope that if Jeff really does intend to nominate Jessie and Ronnie, that he wins the coup d'etat. That'd be awesome. I wonder who's they hate more in the house--Jessie or Ronnie. Either one of them going would be just fine with me.

Yea I realized that after I posted, but it was late at night and I was heading to bed.
The After dark on Showtime was horrible last night, Pretty much consisted of Jessie and Natalia whining like babies how things were unfair because they are now have-nots, they whined about this they whined about that, pretty much everything else that all of the house guess have had to deal with they were whining about like it shouldn't apply to them.
I haven't checked out Jokers, I'll have to go there, I get my info at TV Grapevine and Online Big Brother
The best case scenario is that Jeff wins, but this week Russell uses some brains and puts up Jessie or even if he doesn't but gets rid of Ronnie. And then some one like Jessie or Nat win next week and puts Jeff and Jordan up and they he uses the power to put Jess/Nat up at the last second. That would be awesome!

It is a very rude site filled with malicious people. One of the people on there started a fan site for one of the houseguests on Big Brother, and the people on survivorsucks didn't like that houseguest, and they made a thread dedicated to the female who started the fan site, and totally bashed her. Whenever I go on that site, I always feel disgusted because people use vulgar language, and attack others where it isn't necessary.
Sorry, just a little rant. It is kind of the same thing with Jokers. It used to be a site where all these moms went and chatted about the show, but now a ton of haters are on it. It is better this season because the majority of the people on that site love Jeff and Jordan, but there are still a lot of personal attacks against others.
I signed up on survivor sucks, and people were starting to call me names and were so rude to me, and they said I was that one girl who started the forum. I was like "uhh, wtf? no, im not her." and they didn't believe me. Ugh, hate that site so much.

Yeah, there will always be losers who have nothing better to do with their time--both online and off--than bash other people because it makes them feel better about themselves. Generally, people who dedicate their time and effort to drama literally have nothing better to do and their own lives are empty. Just ignore it and stay away from it. I have no tolerance or patience for drama! I like to check Jokers because I can just quickly go poke around and see what's going on in the house. Unfortunately, this whole week my scuba course and other things have been taking up all my time and I've NO IDEA what's going behind the scenes in the house. One of you guys need to fill me in.

It showed his true colors pretty clearly, that's for sure. The things he said to Michelle, over A TV GAME, were ridiculous and he made a fool of himself! Total sore loser. If I were in that house, I'd make sure I made a graceful exit. I'm interested tonight to see what happens, if Jeff will use the Coup d'Etat or if Lydia will just be voted out.

Well, Chima was a cry baby and said if anyone messes with her HOH nominations, she would freak out on live tv, so they taped the show earlier today. They allowed Chima to play in hoh, which SUCKS, because she was being a baby about it.
At least that was what was rumored (she got to play in hoh). The rumor also is is that Jeff used the Coup D 'Etat , and nominated Jessie and Natalie, and Jessie was evicted by a 3-2 vote. The other rumor is that Michelle won HOH, and next week is double eviction.
Lets see if any of that is true! There are a few people on the east coast who hook up a camera to their TV so people on the west coast can watch it before it comes on over here, so in about 15 mins the show will start!

The show in on now but I've got to run a couple errands so I'm gonna catch it tonight on the west coast channels I get. Anyway, that is some good info! I HOPE JESSIE GOT EVICTED!!!!!!! That would just be sweet. Double eviction week next week already? Wow!
Chima has problems. They're actually bending the rules for her? I figured the producers would just have stuff in your contract that you have to stick to the rules of the game and if you don't, you're out. I think her competing in HoH is breaking those rules. Just because Jeff used the Coup d'Etat (or may not have, we don't know)? That's ridiculous. She was still HoH, had her chance. Oh well.
Russell can be very mean, yeah. He seems to go on these rants and bullies people and THAT I don't like about him. Bullies ain't cool. But when he's harassing Chima? She's just so ridiculous that you can totally see why she pushes him over the edge. Michelle moaning in her sleep would be kind of funny, I'm sorry to say it. The death of her brother is NOT funny and IF that's why she moans, then yeah, it's mean to make fun of her. But she could just moaned in her sleep all her life, haha. I hope he didn't make fun of her brother's death.
