C3 C4 central cord contusion. Poorly managed baclofen pump June 2004 caused 16 months of inactivity. Prior to pump I was walking with canadien crutches and climbing stairs with assistance. For the last four months I have been working out with the trainer four days a week. Suffering from significant pain and numbness in my legs with numbness and loss of sensation in legs and hands. any ideas? can I get it back?

So I take it you were somehow hit at C-3, -4 and there was swelling but no known cord damage? The swelling, if that's ongoing, might be helped by some sort of poultice, herbal or other, anything to help circulation and draw if, say, you've developed a cyst (which might change in size day to day, so give you your variable symptoms). And anti-inflammatories might help. I assume you had no surgery but did have x-rays? Can there be pressure on the cord from a dislocation, or swelling caused by the irritation from a dislocation? It sounds as though something is going on at C-3, -4 but it seems to come and go, so likely isn't scarring. You and your trainer and docs must have ideas, but you asked. I hope you can figure it out!
