Can anyone shed any light on this for me.
Firstly, is L4/5 classed as para? I'm L4/5 incomplete for 8years, was able to walk 6 mtrs with sticks.
13th jul 09 was admitted into hospital with accute water retention,3 days without passing water. I had lost sensation/feeling and ability to pass water. Also lost the same for the bowels, and with a day, had lost use of legs.
Had 3 different MRI's, showig no further mechanical issues, then transfered to neurology. All their electromyography tests showed that the pathways were still open, therefore I had Functional Paralsis....My brain had switched off after 8 years of hellish pain. Well, majority of my pain was legs and back, alot of spasms. Why therefore would I switch off blader - bowel?
Has anyone else ever come accross this befor?
Been told that with pathways being open, I should get ussage back. Could be two weeks - 20 years! In the mean time I have no use of legs, blader and bowels.
Any help / advice appreciate please guys... THANKS.
