hey does anybody have any ideas to drag the sci patient out of these dark holes they fall in sometimes? sure my boyfriend gets moody but sometimes like every couple of months he hits a really dark place. he refuses to talk to me about it instead he snaps at me or won't talk to me for days. even when i am with him its like he is a totally different person. maybe he just has to go through this but its not like him and i hate seeing him like this. is there any good ideas out there for getting him out of this?

He could try St John's Wort. This is a natural plant extract that does the same job as Prozac but without any side-effects. If this helps make him feel better, he should continue taking it for at least 6 months - some people stop as soon as they start feeling better and then the symptoms return.

It would appear that some caution is needed with St John's Wort. See http://www.personalh...tjohnswort.html
