Just finished having chicken fried steak, with milk gravy and biscuits. Had to make it myself as the wife doesn't want to eat "bambi". Her going out this afternoon gave me the perfect chance,,, now to clean up the mess before she gets home.

I am not sure, but I suspect it may be "Deux Poissons", that is to say, two varieties of grilled fish [say salmon and sea bass fillets] served together.

I have never come across this in restos here in England, but it is well worth trying; the different fish can complement one another and make for a more interesting dish.

Used some of the venison I defrosted yesterday for fajitas, for lunch ( the wife is gone again),, I've no Idea about supper,,, I'm hoping my honey will bring something home with her.

Went garden hopping,,, Had fresh: corn on the cob,, onion and cucumber salad,,, breaded zucchini,,, sliced tomato.

I'm not by nature a vegetarian,,, but when the stuff is this fresh,, who needs meat?

roast chicken, roast potatoes and a load of home grown veg! The kitchen is making very nice smells at the moment, even more so as I am not cooking!

If so, did you eat it hot, or cold? Just curious.
