Hi,

Our O.T. team would like to buy Dragon Naturally Speaking software to use with tetraplegic patients.
The problem is : most of our patients are arabic.
I checked on differents websites to see if an arabic version does exist but I didn t find any answers..

So does anyone have an idea about that?

Thanks a lot,

Aurelie .

Try contacting the company themselves, they are the people who will know. I use it myself when my hand hurts; sometimes it works well, other times it makes lots of mistakes. I don't know about versions in other languages; sorry for not helping much.

Aurelie,

Unfortunately Dragon only supports English, French, Italian and Spanish. I called tech support and they confirmed that there are no specific languages mentioned on their websites or in any literature; language support is known internally only. Sorry for the bad news, I'm not sure if there are other voice recognition systems out there that support Arabic, as Dragon dominates this market in the USA. I'll do some digging around and try to find an alternative.

Regards,

Jerry :thread jacked:

PS. Here's is one company, Lingvosoft, that might have some products to help you, their website address is below. They do not seem to have a direct telephone number, but you can send them emails via their technical support page, see the second website address listed below...good luck.
