This is my third summer after my accident. The first one was spent in rehab... last year I was at the hospital for a bladder aug surgery and was out for a month for MRSA...

This year, I was outside all summer mowing the lawn, working on my cars...just doing what I wanted to do.

Now that summer is dwindling down... I went to my orientation for pharmacy school today and I can't wait for class to begin on monday.

It was a good summer.

Not to be weird or a snot or anything... but when I saw the title to this topic, I thought it was about summer camp. I'm kind of disappointed that it didn't.

(aaaah, I love chocolate and wine for dessert Friday nights!)

Glad to hear you're having an awesome summer. Rock on.

If you hang in there, good things do happen. Hope school goes well for you.

Any summer you're not stuck in the hospital or bed is a good summer. :mfrlol:

Nice to hear you are enjoying summer up there.
It's winter down here, cold and wet.
wet tyres that squeak with every turn on the floorboards, drives my wife nuts.
and the top third of me is freezing.

Isn't it funny how much your perception can change? I bet you would have never guessed 5 years ago that not spending the summer in the hospital would be enough to make your summer awesome! Haha...glad your having a good one. I haven't had to visit the broken building either (knock on the wood) so I guess mines been going well too!!!

Keep up the fun times!

We don't know what we've got until its taken from us. How many of us moan when their Internet connection fails? Such trivia really compared to many things.

Enjoy your summer, winter and next spring. Being optimistic is best; is your glass half full or half empty?

Good luck

Thank you for all your kind words and words of encouragement. :head_brick_wall-1:

I think everything really does depend on our perception. I've learned to always be grateful for what I have and understand that things can ALWAYS be worse.

I'm loving the beginning of pharmacy school. Today was the second day of class. We already have a test scheduled in a week, but I'm looking forward to it as well.

I'm in school to get a PharmD and an MBA in four years. I figured that MBA would make me much more marketable. Hopefully I can graduate in the top 3% of my school and get recruited in a big pharmaceutical company. I want to go corporate.

This would never have been an avenue before my accident... but now that it is...I'm really looking forward to it.

Best luck to everyone!
