Hey all, I posted a reply to something the other day that got me thinking. I've noticed in several of the rehab centers that I've visited (and the one I was in post-injury), they don't have access to loaner or demo wheelchairs. I'm wondering if demos/loaners (other than those old hospital-style junkers) were available to any of you in rehab. I know there are some chair suppliers that loan some out at some points, but I'm wondering how many rehab places have them.

If you could just let me know yes or no, and what country (state for those in the US) your rehab was in. Thanks all. I really appreciate the input.

I think there was only one demo chair, and it wasn't there intentionally - it had been left by Lomax I think they're called?

MN - No loaner/demo chairs at rehab. They called in a wheelchair place that worked with whatever insurance company you had and they would stop in with a demo chair to help figure out what you needed in a new one to purchase. Loaner chairs were all done through a third company.
