ive had a pair of the german 'e motion' power assist wheels for about a year and as a c5/6 quad they are awesome, they allow me so much freedom without the sore shoulder. the biggest problems that i have had with them is the weight of them. my girlfriend finds them heavy to get in and out of the car. i have also had issues with the batteries dropping cells but consideriing the hell that i put the through its not surprising at all.
Alcohol is both the problem and the solution to many of lifes problems

Hubby has a pair, and frankly hates them. They are quite heavy and the gears are very clunky and loud. A bad aspect about them as well, is that the wheels have hill locks (and you have to get them with the stupid hill locks). The hill locks are silly for any one at quad level. This is basically because when you're pushing up a hill you can't throw your weight forward it get more pushing "power". The hill locks are meant to be a safety feature that keeps you from rolling backwards if you're pushing up a long steep hill. However, because you can't roll back, you essentially just tip backwards ... yeah, kind of dangerous. You also have to switch gears with a clunky mechanism in the center of the wheel. Hubby wanted to get two pushrims on the wheels - one stationary and one at a lower gear. Unfortunately, they don't make anything like that. So, when you come across any kind of incline you have to stop, switch gears then push up the hill and hope the lame hill locks don't tip you over. Just and poor design! They're quite expensive too. Each wheel weighs about 12 pounds each (with the dual pushrim option and solid tires). Hope this helps a bit, feel free to PM me about his too ...

I used to be "Test Pilot" for Magic Wheels.
Steve Meginniss, inventor and product developer, has spent more that 8 years perfecting it and I must say that they are an aswesome design! For me personally, Magic Wheels are a bit slow and it's hard to do a wheelies, but I highly recommend them to older, or people with less upper strength.
