Does anyone know anything about a certain sport, which is similar to squash.
The players have a long hooked basket type object fastened to one hand.
They place a ball in the curved end of this basket type object and throw the ball at a wall.
The other player has to catch the ball in his curved basket, then throw it back against the wall.

They can't touch the ball with their hands, just use these long, narrow, curved basket type things.

I have a feeling its played in a certain part of France; but certainly in Europe.

I know someone here will know about it.

Mike

I knew I could rely on all the clever sods on the site. Yes that's the game but I've only ever seen it played with 2 players.

The reason I asked is that I had a visit from an ex PA (Jennie) of 9 years ago. She brought round her young French female friend.
(I hate having 3 attractive females in my home at once) :P
Neither of them had heard of it, especially the French girl who couldn't think of the French National Sport, other than cycling..

Thanks guys, I'll pass on the information now, and I can sleep tonight.

Any good for wheelchair players? :)

the French National Sport
Probably more a pastime than a sport, but isn't it superciliously deriding anything English? I thought it was taught in their schools. :)
