if u got an mri...that means u probably dont have any metal in ur body? i have a frd who doesn't but mainly every para/quad has some titanium...so going into an mri is like lying down in a huge magnet. sheer madness.

Just to elaborate titanium is non magnetic so it will not interfere with MRI's. It is perfectly OK to have an MRI with titanium rods, plates and screws in place.

If your body starts going red .. your either over doing the paint on suntan or going rusty from the inside out
Austanitic stainless steel aint magnetic either
Funny enough .. some plastics are .. they are normaly plastered all over fridges though

Oh boy thats good stuff... I think I contain more metal than the old Buick I have in the garage and have never had a prob. Just did a mri and mra a few months ago. One time i did wear a ring in to one and it did vibrate on my finger a bit but that's about all it'll do.

I just did one last week and they had no problem with my white gold 14K wedding ring either. Now I know that I bought the real deal and not some immitation!

Well that should cheer up everyone who's waiting for a MRI scan! :D

I think we should add that - at least in the UK - the MRI technicians go to extraordinary lengths to ensure that no inappropriate metals get anywhere near the scanner suite.

They are not to be feared - unless, like me, you are claustrophobic. :)
