Ive never had a pressure sore, fortunatly but have noticed a sore red patch in what I would say is my crotch. Its that fold of skin where your leg joins your body if you know what I mean. Given where it is, its very hard for me to get a good look, so I dont know if it could be a fungal infection casued by the sweaty humid weather, or if my trousers have been rubbing as I get fatter and fatter!

I will go to the Dr but just thought I waould ask if anyone has any ideas.

thanks
L

Hi Lucydog I have had that exact problem for a couple of months.
My district nurses told me to use sudocrem or similar i.e like nappyrash, however I have recently been in hospital and they told me it was a fungal infection!!
My advice is to get it checked out

Thanks for that. I have been using baby cream as its great on kids sore bums and I think its helped a lot but I suspect its a fungal infection. Ive had several so with a cupboard full of antifungal cream Ill try that for a week as the Dr will only give me more of the same.
Thanks again

Lucydog,
Have seen the same problem on an off for years. Secret to healing is keep it clean and dry. Use the diaper rash creme (God bless oxides).
