hello, my name is iain, i am a 19 year old c5/6/7 and i have recently started a course at a new college. i had a terribly hard time trying to get help with emptying my leg bag as they wouldn't povide personal care. it eventually got sorted out and i can get help when i need it.
i was just wondering what people of the same level, that cant do there own bag, do at work and such?

Hi Iain, I actually use the big bedside bag, but hang the bag inside a cloth bag that I have with two sashes attached. We tie the cloth bag to my chair between my foot pedals on a part of the chair underneath. It is high enough to not drag on the ground. We tuck excess tubing into the cloth bag so very little tubing is visible. When I was at University, the nurse in Student Health emptied the bag if needed. I drink lots of water! This works so well I never mess with a leg bag. If they're full, they look more obvious than my method. It's like having one Popeye leg...not too subtle lol. doublelibra

Hi Cripple,
Don't know if it helps but Coloplast do Simpla Plus Knee bag,
it still straps to leg under clothing & is angle shaped at the knee & straps to your thigh, it holds 1500ml or they also do a syphon ‘self-emptying’ bag.
http://www.coloplast...15?OpenDocument
I often use a knee bag on days at the races & I think they work well.
The syphon bag may be better for you.
Hope it helps

There was a recent thread about just this thing. I'm not particularly adept at the linking to other thread thing,,, but I'm sure there are those here who are.
It involved a device that would open the valve at the touch of a button. You just had to make sure you were somewhere appropriate,,,, a grassy area,, gravelled parking lot,,, dorm room of someone you weren't very fond of.
