I was wondering if anyone else was or had any problems with getting around the state parks and campgrounds where you live? I have found a few little problems here in Michigan that urk me. For example Parks and Recreation fenced in all the fishing areas and only left a 1 foot wide walking path, they tell me my chair is as wide as a 4 wheeler and they don't want the land tore up if someone can get thier off road machine thru it.

Another is i am an avid hunter and i am approved to hunt off a standing vehicle, which means i can hunt from any side of the road that the land owner gives me permission. Now saying that the state issued me the permit but when you go to find a spot along the state forest there are signs now that state you have to be 100 ft off the road to be legal for hunting.

LOL this irritated me the most, i went and filled out a work permit thur the DNR ( department of natural resources) to cut me a trail wheel chair width wide( was the maximum i could cut) thru the woods, but the stipulation was i cant cut down any trees over 1/4 inch in diameter. If anyone who has been in the woods knows thats impossible to make a trail and not cut down small trees.

Deer season starts in a month so getting ready and excited. Any other hunters in chairs? I dont want to bring up too much hunting, don't want to offend anyone who is againist hunting.

And i'll be posting a pic of me here soon, lol i see alot of you have pics and figured first time posting a pic anywhere might as well be here.

I have a 2007 Yamaha Rhino but state restrictions are any motorized atv/utv can only be 50 inches wide to be allowed on state trails. The Rhino is 54 inches wide. There are other makes of UTV's that are narrower that meet those requirements but the Rhino was the only one i found that you could unbolt the safety handle from under the side of the seat to allow easy lifting into it. Most of the other models the safety handles are either molded into the seat itself or are welded to the rollcage.
