My friend has already sent out invitations for a huge Halloween party. This means costume time!!! So me and my boyfriend want to do something together but totally unexpected. I come to you guys because all of you have great ideas and always think outside the box...

bring on the ideas or what you have been in the past.

A quick google search turned up these;

Quote

* How about going was the painting "Whistler's Mother"? You would wear a black dress and the white scarf. See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whistler's_Mother
* Wrap a foot in an ace bandage. Get some mittens or ski hat. Instant injured skier costume!
* Drummer Costume. Attach containers (e.g ice-cream containers, empty paint-cans) to a wheelchair with rope, duct-tape or similar material. Use a hoola-hop with card-board for the bass drum (over the front of the chair). Use paint-brushes or large pencils for drum-sticks. Dress in appropriate attair for the music to be played (e.g. rock, 50s etc)
* Fred Flintstone and car costume. Obviously dress as Fred with a pre-purchased costume. Create the sides and top of the car from cardboard or light wood. Ditto for the dash. Cover the side-wheels in grey plastic. Voila, Fred Flintstone driving his car.
* King or Queen and throne costume. Wrap back and rests with gold or silver paper. Attach garland, plastic jewels and the like to the cart. Dress up regally in velvet or velour. Buy a crown and scepter and even the costume at a costume store.
* Pumpkin Costume. Get a big orange leaf bag, cut a hole in the large end and put it over a wheelchair. Instant pumpkin!
* Robot or evil machine type of a costume.
* Dress up as an astronaut, and make the wheel chair up to look like the moon rover.

Not really the best, but meh

My boyfriend and I .... a vampire and his victim (early 1800s style attire. Sexy but with that traditional scary character flair.
I made a flowing cloak style cape with hood in a low pile shimmery black velour, typical of what women wore in those days, except I made it only elbow length. Was easy to push my chair and I could wear a low cut boosom bearing dress and not be chilly lol.
Where there's a hill there's a way!!

Hey! Bring back my cape, I'm not done being invincible!!

It's amazing what a bit of makeup, a wig and dress can do...a good firm foundation does hurt either :D
Elvira aka Cassandra Peterson, quite the transformation eh!

My b/f's new wheelchair is bright orange, so I decided he's just going to wear all red and go as what he already is...

HELL ON WHEELS!

I like both the Ty Fighter and the tractor, but it's no fun if your costume is so big you can't get through the door.

Haha HELL ON WHEELS, that's great!

Yeah I already have enough issues without any other devices prohibiting me from getting through the door... and to my drink :mfrlol: luckily my friend just built her house and made sure it was wheelchair friendly!

I've done some costumes in the past incorporating my wheelchair into the costume (I was a roller skate last year) but this year I'm going to go as a Jedi. I still love Star Wars. :)
