unfortunately the only option that I have found is go up a couple of sizes......there are a few companies out there that makes custom jeans for "sitting" as they call it, but they are a little pricey.
God will never give me anything that I cannot handle.....I just wish he didn't trust me so much!

Yeah, up a size does help. I always think "but if I was standing up I'd wear a size" whatever.

I have found some jeans that I really love made by Lee. They are advertised as "comfort waist no gap". They have hidden give in the waist band and stretch in the denim. They also have a hidden panel in the front that goes from pocket to zipper which helps control the tummy.

I didn't notice where you were from. I buy mine at the discount department stores like K-Mart or
Wal-Mart. You can get them online from Lee and J.C. Penney but they are cheaper if you can find them in the stores.

I just saw that you are in KY. I was in Glasgow last month when I bought a half dozen pairs at K-Mart. I hadn't been able to find them locally. Seems like they sell out as soon as they hit the store racks.

I've never been able to wear jeans but now they've started making 'jeggings' kinda elasticated Jeans. I think they're a female thing though. Dunno...sorry!

I know they make maternity jeans with cotton waist, and the rest of the jean is normal denim, which I know your a guy but if maybe u could copy the idea by taking them to some one who can modify them in a similar way!

www.maternityjean.co.uk - Few ideas on there!
Everything will be alright in the end, if it's not alright then it's not the end!

Hi,
I used to buy (very expensive) jeans from a wheelchair specialist clothing company in Germany. Then I found that womens jeans fit better than mens jeans when sitting in a wheelchair because they have more material around the bottom, and less in the front. Some makes / brands are better than others in this respect, but you can see the difference between the front and back heights when they are hanging on the rack in the shops.
Cheap (i.e. not "designer") womens jeans work well for me. Watch out for studs on the back pockets of some styles, and obviously avoid the ones with fancy patterns !!
I'm sure I've seen other posts on here suggesting this in the past. They will save you a lot of money compared to the specialist wheelchair clothing companies.
