Hi All

Some of you might remember i wrote asking if anyone had found someone who does replacement upholstery that was good looking rather than black and functional.

Well i have found an angel by the name of Lulu and this is what she has come up with for me. I appreciate its not for everyone but i sooooooooooooooooo love it and with my glance wheels pretty sexy looking too.

Hopefully i can get a pic on here for you, here goes, bad luck i will have to wait till hubby comes home i cant manage to do it at all

sorry i will post pics later

What type of backrest is it? I'll have to see the pic once you got it on here. I'm thinking of getting some glance wheels soon, they look awesome

Hi

I love the glance wheels, i keep them for going out as party wheels lol, i always get a lot of comments mostly from engineers who you can see are working out how they have been made. They are great conversation starters. They are not as heavy as you think either, i have had no problems at all. If you are anywhere near J11 M25 at any point you are welcome to come and have a look/try out before you spend out.

I ordered direct from glance, they had them in stock and all it cost me was delivery on top, no customs or handling.

The back rest is girly, but hey what would you expect but this lady is amazing. I sent her some images of stuff i liked, and one particular one that i wanted if she could do it, she asked me what colours i liked and away she went. Its awesome and much more than i could have expected. It has sequins, sparkles and shiny silks for the embroidery, as i said girly and the finish is excellent.

Ill get the other half to help me put some pics on later, cant work it out myself doh (think they are too big)

Serendipidy: Not bad. How much did that cost? Did you have to take your chair to her? Or did you send her measurements?

Hi

She is in the USA, we did it via photos, emails and phone calls, they really are lovely people and very easy to work with. It was quite expensive but it was a bit of an experiment as its the first time she has done one for the uk so i think i got a bit of a discount. It was a very complex design, i sent her a picture and she had to get it digitised so that was extra then blown up etc, there were a lot of processes with this one, if you choose one of the designs she has or its a more simple design it would be cheaper.

Send them an email with what you want roughly and they will give you a quote.

Here is there website so you can have a look at her other work http://www.dblulu.com/

Please let me know how you get on
