Hi,

I've had a supra pubic for 3 years now. I'm a c5/c6 quad and have been paralyzed for 28 years. I was injured when I was 17. I have a question for all of you. I have a girlfriend and we are starting to experiment sexually. I was just wondering if sexual intercourse can trigger bladder infections. I seem to be experiencing discomfort. I can't feel anything due to my injury. I can get an erection but haven't ejaculated yet.

I'm hesitant sometimes because I'm afraid I might get an infection. My urologists says it's ok to have intercourse.

thanks

I have a SP, & to my knowledge none of my UTI's over my 25yrs of SI, have been attributed directly to intercourse. You say you are feeling discomfort..maybe your bladder is being irritated due to your cath move'n with the grove'n? :blushing02:
