Brady has always talked about wanting another child but he'd bring it up then we'd get going on something else and he'd forget. Since his injury he's been talking about another baby more so then ever, he's even mentioned us going to a fertility Doctor to get him checked. We watched our 3 month old nephew Grant for a little bit this morning and he seemed so happy to have a baby around. I wouldn't mind having another baby at all(except the weight gain), I miss not having a baby in the house.

Any of you're husband/boyfriends seem to want a baby more so after being hurt?

I met my husband after he was hurt. But I honestly think he puts more thought and energy behind the idea of having kids and a big family b/c he's so limited to other things that he loves. Does that make sense? Im getting ready to have a baby in a couple weeks- Due Nov. 17th and we cant wait! We did IvF and had no other options, b/c of his level of injury and function level "down there". It cost's a pretty penny- But some insurances actually cover it. We have 2 more embyo's waiting to be implanted when we are ready- its amazing what science can do for us.

I can no longer have children but it is something I remember wanting at age 18 when I was capable of having my own. I suppose that you always want things you can't have. Now that I can't have them I want them but not as much as a few years post injury. From my perspective, I think it could be more about proving manhood than actually having a child. I believe in some cases (I have seen it on here too, not just with wanting children and have done it myself), the injured person perhaps tries to compensate for what they think others may think of them by proving themselves. Thing is they are often trying to prove to others what others don't always think about them in the first place if that makes any sense. The last woman I went out with was also infertile so even if I had wanted a child with her we would have had to adopt which is pretty difficult at the best of times. While I still want children of my own I realise at 42 I have pretty well missed the boat and also my priorities have changed as I have become acustomed to my news life and have furry, four legged "substitute babies".

I wish you and you're husband all the luck with you're new baby. I hope you have a quick painless(as possible) delivery. Having our two Brayden 9 and Jazmine 5 we're just so amazing, all is right when you hold that brand new baby. Do you know the sex of you're baby yet? Yes you made sense

Since my Ex had her tubes tied, I didn't have the option of having children at the time pre-SCI. I didn't even agree for her to go under the knife. She took it upon herself, regardless of my request for her to wait awhile and see how she felt about it later.

I'm remarried now to a lady who wants to be an eventual mother. So yes, I want to have children more than ever before. But this time around it's going to be an uphill battle. I'm up to the task, however.--haha That REALLY came out wrong.--oops, I did it again.

No requests here.....we both love babies, but don't want another one. I have enough people to take care of as it is!! :)
God will never give me anything that I cannot handle.....I just wish he didn't trust me so much!

My bf already has 3 kids pre injury but now he wants another one. I dont have any yet but I want one really bad (I'll be 30 in a few mths). We have decided to start trying as soon as he gets the "Blue Diamond" or the "opportunity" presents itself or whatever happens first.LOL.

We have been together for a few months and we really love each other. He is soooo sweet, kind, caring and considerate. He is a total gentleman.

My husband and I want to have children. I have two from a previous marriage, but he was young when he was injured and we are just now going through testing and such. Wish us luck!
