Did anyone see tonights Horizon on BBC2. I thought it was pretty interesting and showed a very balanced view on stem cell therapy.

I recommend watching it on BBC iPlayer for anyone in the UK that missed it

Yeah interesting although the production treatment was a bit emotive it did give a balanced veiw.

I wish we saw fewer angry scis on telly and a few more just living their lives.

Hi Topper,

It was interesting and showed that there are some encouraging results coming from stem cell research. The consensus was that SCI patients may be among the first to benefit if the predictions are correct.

Perhaps someone recorded it and can put it on YouTube so those outside the UK can also see it.

Anyone?

I saw it too. I tend to steer away from cure news but this programme brought me up to speed with what's going on.

Why isn't Sophie a member on here?
How does it feel to feel?

Dunno. She should be. I'd like a closer look at some of her art work on the "Calling all zee artists" thread. It looked really good.

If any of you find a link that works for those of us outside the U.K. or post it on-line somewhere I'd like to see it. :drunk:

Good luck. When I tried that link all I got was a series of pop-ups for games etc but if you can get it to work, the program is worth watching.

Hi Greybird

I Player doesn't work outside the UK, apparently.
To be honest .. I didn't know that .. that's a sly bit of censorship, don't you think
Thanks for the heads up.

I'm sorry It worked for me. Just click the big play in the middle of video. If the pop ups pop just close it and continue.

So ..according to this documentary first human embryonic stem cells trials starting in 4 month. WOW..this is exciting. This might define our future and SCI is going to be the first one to benefit from it.
They already know how to create cord cells in lab. Its amazing. I got my hopes up.
