The back cushion of my tilite aeroz makes fart noises when ever i adjust myself or just move an inch. Its annoying because people look at me as if im farting and its not the case. I have adjusted a little the straps but has anyone had this happen please help me

I seriously wouldn't stress over this too much. i'm very easy to embarrass and it's happened to me before. In my plain 'ol regular wheelchair. My kids think it's funny now. But i usually will just make light of the situation....like saying something funny to go along w/ it. Like if it's a big crowd just point to the person next to you, if they can't see your finger, quickly look at the person next to you w/ disgust. If that won't work, and you can't think of a quick reply just let it be. i know it can be a lot harder to deal w/ something so small when you're new to something so big already. It just adds more stress and embarrassment to the whole situation. But you'll eventually just have to get that "i don't give a sh^$ about what others think" attitude. At least you AREN'T really farting and there isn't a bad smell floating/lingering around...lmao, THAT'S EMBARRASSING, But still...i would be thankful that you're just not crapping on yourself. That's the WORST, most humbling feeling in the WHOLE FREAKING WORLD!!!!!!!

You blame thae chair. I blamed my cat, until he passed away, that is.

Hey, I could blame the chair. Thanks for the tip YaDigg!

Seriously though. What are you TALKNG about?? Is it the taughtness of the back of your chair? idk :)

If you look embarrassed, people will actually think you did it. Just laugh and blame it on a dog nearby, or just say that your chair has gas like any set of wheels. :H2kOther (26):

Tad bit off subject. So there I was ready to do a car transfer into my girlfriends jeep liberty. I was still Trying to figure it out on my own but wasn't quiet there yet. So my best friend since third grade offers to help me out. I pull up on the bar and he starts to push my ass to the left on the seat and wamo, I totally cut loose. Loud disturbing and tremedously embarassing. So stop bitching untill you actually fart in the face of your friend lol.

Nina's cushion does a sort of farting noise whenever she transfers or lifts. It's just the air pockets in the cushion.

I have the same problem with moving on my Variite cushion. I took it to the UK with me because I thought it was better than my Roho springing another leak while I'm away. A couple of times at dog club I've adjusted myself and the instructor made comments (jokingly) about me farting and it can be embarrassing, but I've laughed it off. If all else fails I suppose I could blame it on my service dog and bribe him with a treat lol!

It's a bit like when I'm on a bus and it smells and everyone who gets on gives me looks like it was me when it was really the elderly person or the homeless person...
