Hello,
I have a C3-7 incomplete spinal injury and have significant chronic pain in both arms, hands, and back. I am currently taking neuropathic pain medications but want to wean off because I'm hoping to become pregnant. I am curious to know how others have dealt with this issue and/or any thoughts/suggestions would be much appreciated.

I am a C 5/6 incomplete and because I'm a guy I really have no experience with pregnancy, but I am very involved in the medical cannabis movement. I have managed to come off most of my prescription medications and ones I haven't come off of cut the doses more than half by medicating with cannabis. most prescription medications are just poison IMO, they cause more side effects that are worse than the reasons we are taking them for.
cannabis is a natural herb and is nontoxic, people always jump to say well smoking itis bad for your lungs and probably causes cancer (there are studies that prove it does not) either way there are many other ways to Medicate with cannabis. Anyways my point is there are many women in our country and around the world who Medicaid with cannabis to control morning sickness and promote appetite. Our government has failed us with so many lies about marijuana being a dangerous drug when all it is is a harmless plant that produces a very incredible medicinal herb and so much more. I use it for spasms, neurological pain, nausea and appetite. So if you lived in a cannabis friendly state you have access to either purchasing through co-ops or a dispensary or grow your own medicine knowing you have chemical free and quality medicine is a blessing.

I hear ya, but there is a legal issue that comes to mind concerning the use of herb. In some places, such as southern sections of the USA, they will bury you under the cross-bar hotel for possessing such substances...sadly, i fear the law will not be changing anytime soon in those locations....the only thing i can think of that's worse than being a gimp in great pain, is being an incarcerated gimp in great pain..

It really is unfortunate however, 14 states including DC have med cannabis programs and a lot of states have lowered consequences and made small amount possessions low priority, the AMA called for a reclassification, 2-3 years and all 50 will be legal (my prediction)
med cannabis can treat such a long list of illnesses and symptoms, especially sci related..........
