My injury was only a few months ago but I am really looking forward to getting back behind the wheel. I am very anal when it comes to my car though and hate all the hand controls that I have seen. They all look really sloppy...with linkage hanging down underneath the steering wheel. I really want to find some that the linkage can be hidden underneath the steering wheel plastics. I don't care if I have to spend 5 grand, I just want it to look good! Are there any brands that I can look at that are like this? Please help, thanks!

Look through the "Jeff Gosling Hand Controls" thread further down the page. Although JF controls intrude, there were some photos of the LVC company's installation which are concealed.

Anyway, it won't matter what the hand contols look like as your car will get so scratched up as you work out how to get the chair in and out at the start. Best save the gucci hand contols for your 2nd post injury car.

i just had monarchs put on my car. I hear ya about the not wanting to see the linkage my installer put the brake linkage close to the dash. I have new infiniti g35 so the look was important. there are also a ones called Menox they are mounted on the floor like a shifter and look like they came from the factory. only downfall is they are mounted on the right side.

there was a ring accelerator that just plugged in and was worn on your finger whilst driving, cant find details of it at moment but it was a uk firm that were fitting them, i dont know how good they are or anything, but do know they were around about 6 yrs ago as i briefly looked at them when i first had a car adapted for myself to drive, but i went for the over the steering wheel ring accelerator and love it, it looks cool and is so much more like normal driving, but of course you still have the brake lever .

Check out Italian controls by Kivi. They even have a wireless removable gas ring on steering wheel. Not cheap, like Guido simplex (also Italian), but interesting range of cntrols. KIVI Hand Controls They have American agents, as they do in Australia.

Previously I've had a Monarch that haas been in 6 cars in 30+ years, but not attractive or easily hidden.
