Yes I do, I used to sweat more in hospital but still do over a year later. It's cos your lower half can't regulate temperature properly - I don't sweat below my injury nor do I get goosebumps so the upper body has to sweat or shiver to make up for the temperature upsets!

For me, night sweats are a side effect of Cymbalta. The only thing that helps a little is a cotton blanket that allows a lot of air circulation. Any fleece or polyester on top of me makes the sweating worse.

I sweat like a whore on dollar day. I'll wake up sometimes sopping wet. It's annoying as hell, I heat up so bad at night when I'm sleeping. If I wake up in the middle of the night I get up and stay out of bed to cool off. Even if I only sleep with a sheet I get hot and I have a ceiling fan going along with a room fan blowing on me. Temp is never over 65 F in my house at night, so it's not that I keep it warm.

Yeah, I have this problem too.
I found that it's not too bad in summer because I can sleep without any blankets or maybe a light sheet. In winter I wear a long sleeve t-shirt and try too not have too many heavy blankets on me.
I don't sleep in the same bed as my wife anymore so at least it's only my problem

i used to sweat bad after my accident, i guess things sort of worked themselves out. But i also won't allow my house to get too warm. I don't make it cold and i was always hot natured to begin w/. But i think you could try different sheeting, maybe even the mattress you sleep on could make a difference. I just bought this tempurpedic mattress top and i have noticed that it keeps me hotter than before. I'm always throwing off the blankets and even though its louisiana it still gets cold at night. But i CAN'T wear pj pant usually w/out getting miserably hot in bed and i also have a fan blowing....sheeting, clothing, and temp i guess are the main probs. But i know that some meds will also make you sweat more than others. I was having the worst hotflashes!! It was sooo embarrassing! I would go to work and i don't know how many times a day, i would just break into a sweat. So bad that u could see it through my scrubs!! I know you can't but i got on birthcontrol and it helped things out. I got off of it after just 3 months and my sweats really didn't come back.... wish i could help more...

good luck, i know it's embarrassing, but if your gf stays w/ you then she must care a lot for you (unless youre a whore, just getting a piece of ass, lol), so i'm sure she will understand...if not, hmmm....what's the phrase i'm looking for?

Glad to see this post. I sweat like crazy too, but oddly never though about the fact that I only sweat above my injury. That's an interesting point. Also on cymbalta and I know that's a side effect. It does suck. Sometimes I wake up soaked. But other nights, I'm totally fine without a drop of sweat. Freaking weird.

I can tell all you sweaty people out there ONE thing..... you could just have sex everynight w/ your partners and just say it was from that "crazy wild monkey sex"... or if that doesn't work say just the thought of you lying next to me baby was getting me sooo h o t!!! lol, if it all fails just make sure you're wearing plenty of deodorant when you go to bed and get the hell off my side!!! lol, unless you wanna have....nevermind....

maybe you guys should try another drug other than cymbalta, it's not the only one out there for serotonin, etc...however i don't know if the others share the same symptoms, most likely they will, but hey; it's worth a shot....
