Hi all! I just discovered this site while looking for disabled track stuff, and it is GREAT!

I am a NASA-certified HPDE instructor, and have been instructing with various groups for the last three years (and have been driving on track for seven). I am not disabled, but LOVE teaching people how to drive fast (and safely ;) ). My wonderful girlfriend had the brilliant idea today of having me instruct disabled drivers. She is entering a prosthetist certification program, and is absolutely nuts about the field, hence her interest. I am very passionate about motorsports in general, and really just get a major high from the instructional portion.

We met a guy in the Midwest who was starting to race an Acura RSX with hand controls (looked to be a form of the push/pull wheel; I've done some research but am not very familiar with all the available designs yet), and our gears started turning. I'm actually trying to track him down to get more information about his car and his experience, as I never had the opportunity to chat much with him in person.

ANYWAY, I'm wondering if anyone is interested in some kind of free track instruction with their hand-control equipped car? I'm not looking for any kind of monetary compensation or anything, I just like sharing my experience :) I have some experience with karting as well, and could help with that too if anyone is interested. I'm located in Aurora, IL, west of Chicago. I do also travel to the Mid-Atlantic area (where my car is currently in storage) for trackdays.

Anyone interested, feel free to reply here or email me at stinkycheezmonky @ hotmail . com
