Well Pistol.. funny you should ask.. In kindergarten they tell us its the day Christopher Columbus discovered the new world.. and we all made friends w/ the Natives and had a huge celebration in honor of this new great land and all its people. Yay!!!
Im sure someone here will know the exact details... From what I remember John Winthorp sailed over in 1670 and brought the new inhabitants with him aka Pilgrims.. As for the feast I dont know.. I guess we slaughtered enough animals in that same day so we needed to celebrate?
