Salomon make some nice winter boots with thinsulate lining. I use soft snowboard boots with a removable liner. Easy to dry and get your feet into particularly if you buy 1 size too big. I got my from TK MAXX nice and cheap. (they generally have some at this time of year).

Never used the heaters myself although I do know a couple of mono skiers who swear by them.
Hope this helps.

my boots are one size to big to allow my feet and socks to get in.

I have electric boot warmers that are the best, its a pad that goes under the base of the foot and attached to a battery I don't remember the brand but they make skiing so much more enjoyable.

If u can find the brand of those socks that would be great! then I know I won't burn my feet.

there are some on ebay if you type in 'electric socks' are those the ones?

do your boots come up your calf a bit almost towards the knee? or are they smaller

do you have a prashbereger? wish I had better suspension, bumps hurt

thanks for the help!

Hotronic FootWarmer is the brand name

Yup I have a Praschberger, never had an issue with the suspension it is adjustable, I like it firm as I jump it.

These are a newer version of my boots http://www.baffin.com/Comersus7F/store/com...sp?idProduct=93

I just removed the inside lining, added the Hotronic pad to the bottom of it then put it back in so I have the boot, heating pad, lining, sock, foot.

At around -20c it will keep my feet warm for about 8-10 hours, I charge them up at night to use the next day I find that they wond last two days in a row very well when cold.

Hope that helps

that is so amazing! I just ordered those boots! (not really knowing what I was doing)

because it looked like they 'open' a bit in the front

thanks thanks for the advice

but if you jump don't you want a bit of soft suspension?

thats why I don't jump much (and I'm chicken), becasue it's a hard landing

If the suspension is to soft I just bottom out, I also don't like to ski all mushy I like firm suspension.

I tested a new prototype ski last week and it had the softest suspension on it, I felt like I was on a cloud.

howzit?

got the hotronics, didn't seeem to do much

and the baffin boots like yours wouldn't fit, my feet are too big and don't bend

so I went up grouse mountain and got cold feet again

any ideas? should I get a footplate put on my ski like on my wheelchair?

it was icy and hard conditions and the demo you mentioned sure would be nice.... soft suspension.

was your demo a prash?

My boots are a size or two to big so that I can get my feet in.

I just have some good ski socks and the hot tronic going on high, my feet will still come out a little cold but not as cold if I did not have them.

The ski I tested was a one of a kind prototype.

I think you just need to keep trying until something works we are all different and it does take time to get things right.

Keep on skiing
