Hello,
My best friends husband had a 7ft. diameter tree fall on him. He is 35 years old. They fused his bottom 3 thoracic vertabrae to L2 and 3. L1 was shattered and left to heal on own. Paralyzed from waist down. He's very strong but no body told him about this horrific nerve pain he is experiencing. Help! Accident happened 2 months ago. Everything so new.

Two months is about when the swelling goes down and a lot of new issues arise. Most people seem to join this forum about that time.

For nerve pain, I was given Lyrica, and Baclofen for spasms. These are fairly common in the US. Since I have no way of knowing your location, I can't really help any more than that.

I was hit by a tree, April '08, age 38. Complete paralysis from chest down.
Every injury is different, so no-one can tell you the pain will go away or not.
Things often improve as the body recovers.
Two months is still very early. Be patient and make full use of pain medication.
Some people are reticent about putting drugs in their system. You don't get any bravery medals for putting up with pain unnecessarily.

My spine is all wrong but my backbone is strong.

my husband was given Gabapenten( Neurontin) for nerve pain. He takes Norco. baclofin and valium as needed. Sometimes valium if spasm get out of hand. I also take neurontin which will totally knock you on your butt the first few times but maintain the milligrams and you will see relief specifc to nerve.
