If you are a frequent traveler who would like to see hotels become more accessible and disability friendly, I would like to ask for your assistance.

I did an interview with a representative of Scandic Hotels, Magnus Berglund. Magnus works full-time for Scandic to help Scandic make their hotels more accessible for disabled guests. I am unaware if other hotels are taking a similar approach as Scandic is.

If the subject is of interest to you, would you please leave a comment on the blog? Not here in the forum, but below the interview with Magnus. If there is enough interest in this subject, I will forward the interview to other hotel chains and ask them what they are doing in this direction. Perhaps some of them will also do interviews for the blog and enlighten us.

It will be interesting to see if other hotels are doing something similar to or even better than Scandic. If not, maybe it will help motivate some to start.

Thanks!
Gene

Have left you a comment as requested. I mean, what's not to love about this concept and action plan?!? When one business starts making the effort and consumers vote with their feet (or wallets) it's where capitalism can make a positive difference.

Hi Guy

Absolutely agree with you. I dont know why other hotels are not doing this. But maybe they are?? I am curious to find out and want to contact some. That is why I need support on this. Consider this something like a petition. The more comments I get on my blog the more serious hotel execs will take this.

And I agree with you, vote with our feet for Scandic when possible.

Anyway, yours is the first comment and I appreciate it.

Gene
