Hi Everyone. I have been having the classic symptoms of cauda equina syndrome. I had a CT Myelogram this week and it showed a large blockage at L3-L4. My surgeon thinks it may be a pocket of infection, which worries me because getting MRSA in T7 & T8 is how I ended up with my original SCI. I can't have an MRI because of my pacemaker, so we're going with the CT results. I'm scheduled for a laminectomy on Jan. 6th. Should have it right away, but I just can't bear the thought of maybe being in the hospital for Christmas again.

For anyone whose had spinal stenosis/cauda equina/laminectomy, etc., what was the cause? Bone spurs, cysts, infection????? Thanks for your input.
