has anyone tried acupuncture for muscle tightness and pain? ive been having a lot of muscle tightness and nothings helping. if youve had acupuncture for muscle tightness and pain, did it work? how long did it take to start working?

i have great success with it sometimes, other times not.

Like all things: you get good practicioners and not so good ones. Good ones can be very good (open surgery without anaesthetic - just acupuncture - can't lie.

Did acupuncture three times a week while in acute rehab and twice weekly ever since (currently about one year post injury) Yes, it helps with a number of things, including pain and spasms. You need to find someone that has experience with treating spinal cord injury patients and knows how to do electro-acupuncture.
