Don't know if this is in the right place, but don't know what to do, i am finding that by 1pm i am so exhausted i need to lay down. its an effort all the time to walk, but at the moment i am one wheel down as my other broke - shoulud pick it up in the morning. i am wondering if the time is coming where i will need to use my chair more and more. its not just the tiredness, but the pain adn the lack of strength in my legs and arms tha was there.

could i just be overdoing it - things have been busy -

what do you all think.

Pain is exhausting. Is there a recent increase? If so, could it be a cue to some health problem? need more info.

Hi Jane, I don't know if I'm doing this correctly...I'm new here. I just want you to know that I feel the exact same way. I try to get everything done before noon....if that's not possible, then I try to arrange my day so that I don't become too exhausted. I am a T6 incomplete with some C5-6 problems (don't know exactly the involvement yet, awaiting another MRI). Anyway, I still walk with the aid of a cane....that in itself is exhausting, but also dealing with the constant pain. I would suggest you mention it to your doc...I think any change is worth mentioning! Have a good day.
Amy
Be nice or I'll beat you with my cane!

My blood was checked couple of months ago, but worth doing again. what is asai juice? not sure what that is.

resting is compulsary at the moment, got my son walking himself home from school so i can stay on settee and rest after work. trouble is if i go to my gp i know he will say wait until i see my consultant - on 1 feb.

Mental issues and upset are also exhausting.
When I feel constantly exhausted I run through a basic checklist of health. If all that is fine then it's usually one of two things:

- I've got a niggly issue which I'm not acknowledging and sorting, or
- I'm getting too much sleep. Example: I used to wake early and go back to sleep then struggle to get up at a lazy 08:00. So I was advised to get up immediately when I woke. I did and it helped massively. It was just a phase to go through and then i settled back down.

I always find that it's a fine line between listening to my body when I need sleep and not allowing lack of energy to take hold because I'm low / fed up / sleeping too much. Over time I've learnt to tell the difference between the various "

Possibly something to do with the lack of proper daylight at this horrible time of year.

I think a lot of people suffer from seasonal affective disorder and lets face it, there isn't exactly much sun around at the moment!

I think getting your blood checked is a good idea, but also really discussing your tiredness with your doctor. This has been one of the toughest lessons for me to learn: you aren't the same person. What was easy, or took little effort, now takes a lot more energy. Your movements are different, they use different muscles, and they use strength that you also need to combat pain. It could be something as simple as needing more iron or B-12. Or it could be a sign that something is going on and needs to be taken care of. My recent clumsiness and weakness has now been diagnosed, and I'll be having a laminectomy at L3-4 in January. Glad I had it checked out
I know some people tell us to exercise more and such, but I find that it ends up putting me at the limit of my energy reserves. Just walking, driving, doing household stuff, things that used to be routine, is like exercise now.
Good luck to you. I hope you can figure this out.
