Yesterday I received a delightful phone call from a very friendly old man. He was such a sweetheart! Fancy wanting to know what I was wearing right down to my knickers because he was concerned I would catch a chill and need warming up.

I really hope his asthma clears up soon, his poor breathing sounded ever so laboured.

He did however make a tiny request. Well two actually but the one about leaving my bedroom curtains open at night I don't really understand. He made me promise to post him some steamy photographs. And you can't refuse an gentleman such requests can you?

Enjoy my darling heavy breather x x x

It must have been that old Greybeard; he's a devil for chatting up young girls :yahoo:

I'll make sure I don't get in the way if I see you steaming towards me in one of those Steam Rollers Clara.... :specool: I don't fancy getting flattened.

Lovely photos; it takes me back........ Do you think you could design me a steam powered wheelchair; it would also keep me warm... :)

Just to prove to my darling that I'm not /always/ in the pub, we also appear in fields! (In this case a steam / country fair rally for which it rained the entire four days - the roller started to go rusty!!)

and on country lanes!

engine_me.jpg

(Taken after I got into the traction club "yard" after my first time steering the engine any distance - 23 miles.
Just goes to show what a TENS machine, many pain killers and a lunch time stop involving laying flat on my back in the pub car park having beer through a straw looks like. Only took me six days to recover too!)

I realise now that I forgot to send my darling heavy breather a photograph he wanted for his "personal collection". The phone line was awful but he sounded like he wanted a photograph of my crutch? He was ever so specific - wanting the photograph to be taken outside so that the light would highlight the shadows. Trouble is with these dark winter days I'm not entirely sure how well the photograph will come out but here it is anyway.

Enjoy x x

Don't you just hate those naughty old men in raincoats Clara...... :dancegirl:

You look great up there on that Steam Roller, a genuine "Miss Dibnah" if ever I saw one. Where was the flat cap? :)

My Dad has a steam roller. As a child I was frightened to death of being rolled over and squashed, still am really!

The scarifier for ripping up roads (never been allowed to test it out alas).

The bright blue is the tractor behind it by the way. I can post dirty photographs of tractors if you want.

Thank you.

You should save your dirty pics for your telephone admirer. (And NO, Scribs. It isn't me :dancegirl: )

Did you say TRACTORS Clara????????????

I love tractors. If I had not been a gypsy in my pre SCI life I would have a collection of them from pre 1950s.
Give me tractors.
Look! It's a snail! It's a sloth! Able to creep short distances before lunch!

This just cracks me up. Thanks Clara!
