i didn't see any threads about introducing yourself, but then i easily could have missed them with all the reading i have been doing here lately.
*waves to everyone out there*i am one of your friendly neighbourhood lurkers, and finally decided to just go ahead and sign up.
found this site just over year ago, when my long distance boyfriend finally came clean to me about being a para (he was really nervous, figured i would never talk to him again ,past experiences apparently) and we started talking about visiting one another, and i did a search about travelling when in a chair, and have been lurking off and on since then.
haven't been able to use the awesome suggestions and information about travelling for him yet (hopefully this coming spring) though i have been to see him a few times.
this is such a wonderful site, with so much information and so many friendly and open people, i went from not knowing much about anything to do with SCI's, to at least having general ideas about things and about what he goes through and just doesn't tell me because he thinks it's easier since i don't see it in person often.
so, i am hoping to fully drag myself from lurker status, and to coax myself into this wonderful community, as i am sure when i have questions, you are the best people to come to.

Plenty of ABs here finding out about us difficult sods. You're amongst good company! Welcome!
Maybe there should be a "Hello, I've Been Lurking..." thread...

I am an AB woman in love with a quad and have found this to be a wonderful sight and the people here to be very 1) truthful (don't ask if u don't want to know...) and 2) very welcoming. I too have found it to be a good way to get a better idea of some of the struggles he goes through and some tips on how to keep the relationship healthy and communication open. Welcome and glad ur here...
Jenn ;)
