Hey everybody, i've been lurking the boards for a bit so i thought i would introduce myself. So here's a quick breakdown:

I had my accident on may 20th, 10 days before my 21st birthday. i was diagnosed as a T8 complete para. I crashed my motorcycle that i had for a week into a guardrail at highway speeds showing off for a couple friends from work. I spent 1 month in the hospital and 4 in rehab which were the worst 4 months of my life! However I find myself extremely lucky to be alive. I find my body is still changing and it's great to have the these forums as a source of information. If anybody has any questions or comments please feel free to post or message me.

Chris

Welcome aboard.

I hated the rehab hospital too, even though the nurses were like angels and the therapists instilled hope in me. And I only had to be in there for a month.

And Merry Christmas!

That is a super-cool photo! I love all the colour-coordination going on - its pumpkin-cammouflage!

Thanks for all the warm welcomes everybody. I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New year, I know i'll be looking forward to seeing what's in 2010. Just a side note, dont know if anybody is following the world juniors but just returned from the canada sweden exhibition and it looks like we have a great team again this year. Lots of speed and well set up powerplay. I think/hope we'll be taking gold again this year

Welcome! This is a great place. Like you, I hated being in rehab. You're picture is wonderful, and your nephew is adorable. All the best to you.
