your having pain on the left side of your body! It's your body' s way of telling you that there is something wrong on the left. Check for pressure points, sores, everything. Happens to me all the time. Sweating on R=pain on L and vice versa. Find the pain area and your problem will disappear......Merry Christmas, or whatever you celebrate.

Might be tight muscles in the leg or pressure on the left when you turn. Try a thicker foam on the bed. Some advice which has worked for me. Learn to sleep on your back all night. Add an hour or two every night to each roll and then start on your back. Distributes pressure better and you will never have to be woken up again at night/. Be the best thing u ever did! good luck.

The sweating and left/right cross over is very common, for me, most of the time, it's wrinkles in a sheet, mattress cover, etc. I've also found the simple repositioning of the leg nearest the bed often helps. After 31yrs of quadiness my hips/joints aren't the best. I also get the sweats if my bowels are unhappy, constipated, even with a full bladder; but rarely.
Only after we have lost everything, are we free to do anything.

common for me, and common to just be wrinkled sheets or a little constipated, but rarely anything "wrong"

My husband has been experiencing the same thing. Only sweating on one side of his neck or the other. I (we) didnt know that it could be something as simple as a wrinkle sheet. I will have to look for these things next time it happens!

I am 7 months from my accident and I have just gone threw the same thing. Started sweating horribly on the right side only all day long, especially at night. Then it changed sides on me and the same symptoms were on the left side. Then sweat everywhere above the injury line. Embarressed I was complained to my doctor, constantly checked my bowl and bladder thinking it was that. He prescribed Propanthalyne (spelling I am not sure of). It is a stomach ulcer drug that has a side effect that prevents sweating, works perfect. Now dry as can be, and only get light sweat on the left side when I need to cath. Nothing better than sleeping and waking up dry.

imco, meds for this could be a bad choice....i experience this ad when my cushion is low or shorts twisted or i've lost something in my chair under me or if my hip is against armrest....all things that i can't feel, but are potential for skin breakdown....and if my cath is kinked or clogged..living alone, i think w/o this early warning system, i'd not had 4 years of clear skin and no er visits for cath issues (or any issue)..i think the meds would mask this, and although it causes discomfort that discomfort is a welcome tradeoff for wounds or worse...as i said, just mco...but its how i roll

My bf sweats occassinally, especially on one side of his body. It's trial and error to try and find the source. He repositions in his chair, I check his cather for kinks, make sure his leg bag isn't busting at the seams, etc. Most days, we never seem to figure out why, it just stops.
It sure is a pain though, esp. in the winter if we are out somewhere and he starts sweating, and then he has to go outside in the cold all wet. We started carrying an extra set of clothes just in case.
