I live in upstate New York and am moving to Alexandria, Virginia on February 1'st. I have Medicaid through New York State right now, that pays for an LPN to come to my house and help me. I'm trying to setup the same service in Virginia but I am not getting to far. New York told me they would cover me for two months after I moved. This sounds like it should cover me while I wait for Virginia Medicaid to start. The problem I am having is no home care agencies seem to accept out of state Medicaid. Has anyone moved or went to college in Virginia and received home care with out waiting the 45 days to start Virginia Medicaid? Or does anyone have any advice that might help?

Thanks.
